Coypu

I often saw coypu (Myocastor coypus) in North Wales when I was a kid and dimly remember being told that they come from South America. Today I saw one in Laguna Rosales, swimming near the coast. The name comes from the Mapudungun kóypu, through the Spanish coipú., although here in San Martín they are called coipo, occasionally nutria but that is more used, I think erroneously, for the otter.
