Ullswater

Our first day in the Lake District and the weather is awful, continuous drizzle and rain all day. However we did manage a few shots, except the lens had to be continually wiped.

This is the Duke of Portland’s Boathouse on Ullswater. A quite photogenic boathouse which I believe is now a holiday cottage. It is worth a look LARGE.

We are staying at an Inn in Braithewaite. I have to say it is really comfortable, great beer and food and superb value for money.

Tomorrow, fingers crossed the weather improves!
