Penstemon
Busy afternoon in the garden weeding and generally battening down the hatches for the approaching winter. I tend to deconstruct and put as many peripheral things away as possible. The reverse of the spring ritual. It seemed rather odd to be putting tender plants into the greenhouse for winter protection whilst this penstemon is enjoying the Indian summer. It is so much more floriferous than the first time round when I was thinking it was on its last legs.
