Cessna 208 Caravan

First flown in December 1982 the Cessna 208 Caravan is a single engine turboprop. Certified by the FAA in October 1984.

Originally designed as a freight feeder aircraft it has undergone a number of design evolutions throughout its life. This appears to be the Grand Caravan passenger variant although the pod under the belly is an additional cargo bay.

If you want one you can choose from a limitless combination of seats, more seats, seats and cargo, cargo only, additional underbelly cargo hold, standard instruments, glass cockpit, standard wheels, chunky rough ground wheels, floats, skis, even a military spec version if you want.

The final twist is the fact that you can now even buy it from an assembly line in the Peoples Republic of China.

Must admit it was much faster than most of the caravans I usually come across.
