Getting Ahead
I am in Chichester this weekend with a friend, to attend a sewing retreat. Sandie drove to our house, and we then loaded 4 sewing machines, metres of fabric and assorted haberdashery into my car and set of in a general southerly direction. The countryside on the way day was stunning, from the Devil's Punchbowl to the rolling South Downs.
On arrival we unloaded the car (our room was miles away from the entrance, so I reversed up to the window and bundled everything in that way!) and set off to look around Chichester. Unfortunately the light was going, so we were a bit pushed for time. However, we did make it to the Cathedral, and found this fantastic array of heads, bishops maybe?
Back to the hotel to start off the retreat with a talk from Christine Porter, and a look at some of her amazing quilts. Work starts in earnest tomorrow.
