All lined up

......for tea that is. The calves were waiting patiently for their tea this afternoon. You can see them moving towards the gate as soon as they hear the motorbike coming towards their paddock.

Our maize was planted during last night. When I say during the night, it literally was. They started drilling it at 11pm and finished at 2.30am. Rain was forecast, and the contractor wanted to get it all drilled in the ground before it started.

This morning (daylight hours this time!) the paddock was sprayed, fertilised and then rolled, and tonight it has rained - perfect for germination. Now we just wait for it to start appearing above ground.
