Still Here!

Indoor plants outside

My somewhat odd title arises from a memory of my first ever visit to Hong Kong around July 2002. It was so hot and 98% humidity meant that you sweated instantly you hit the streets. I went up to the university campus and walked along a garden area. I was sat near there today waiting for lunch with a colleague.

I was reminded of my reactions when I saw so many plants I was familiar with in the UK but as house plants not outdoor plants. Plants I spent my early adult life trying to keep alive grew in abundance in these areas. I was fascinated by this. So I took one such plant as the sun gave the colours an interesting sheen.

Thanks so much for the kind comments on my 300th blip, if you flick back to it now you may see the Blipfoto red balloon which has emerged onto the pic!

I have started the process of catching up on your blips. It's taking me a while so please be patient until I reach your blips. It's fun though looking at a couple of weeks contribution! As they used to say of British Rail, I am getting there.
