Fort George near Inverness

The final blip of our recent tour of the Highlands. This impressive 18th century structure was originally built to keep the fearsome highlanders in their place after the battle of Drumossie Moor (otherwise none as The Battle of Culloden). As it turned out it wasn't required and now is the windswept training base of the Highland Regiment of the Royal Scottish Army. My god, they must be tough!
