Washed clean

At last the arctic wind and torrential rain has stopped and the surrounding landscape was looking simply beautiful and refreshed this afternoon - all the autumn dust has been swept away. There has been so little Autumn colour this year as the wind and rain have decimated the foliage and propelled the trees prematurely into their winter garb. I am so glad that i stopped the other day to take a picture of the autumnal scene during my walk as that turned out to be my last chance! The utility room in my house is littered with dirty doggy towels and a very muddy floor from continual returns from excruciatingly muddy and soaking walks! Needless to say the dogs have loved it and don't mind the mud they create at all!
