Tranquil view from the towpath.

I rode my mountain bike along the Thames towpath and then the Wey Navigation towpath. I decided a towpath ride of 100km would give me a good workout, and keep me away from the traffic, which is always too busy in this part of the world. In return for my efforts I got to see lots of views like this, lots of amazing houses (and some pretty shabby ones) plus houseboats, and lots of locks. I even stopped to help out at one of the locks, I was surprised to see so many boats chugging along and passing through the locks.

The biggest surprise was to find so much tranquility in this overcrowded part of the country, for 100km!
