Waste not, want not!!

During the flood a couple of months back, I lost all the bugle (Ajuga reptans) which provided ground cover under the bushes and grew mixed in with some sedums, giving blue flowers in the spring /early summer followed by pink from the sedum. Also doing a great job of suppressing any weeds.

My neighbour had great clumps of bugle, which she didn’t want, growing in a gravel area. So today I’ve dug it up and have split up into 25 separate plants. Far more than I need so I will give her the spare plants to take to her garden club, once they are established!!
