Puzzling over the puzzle

After a morning running around at playgroup CJ and I did some quieter activities this afternoon. We finished colouring in the flying Halloween bat (one of the crafts we picked up yesterday), we repaired the train track, we played with the race cars but his favourite activity was doing jigsaw puzzles.

Normally we do the jigsaws with bigger pieces of Thomas or the Gruffalo that are easy to put together, but today he wanted to do this Mr Men one with lots of smaller pieces. I was surprised at how well he coped with the smaller bits and after completing it a couple of times he even started finding a few of the pieces that go together by himself.
