Three blind mice
Tonight we went to see a 60th anniversary special of Agatha Christie's 'Mousetrap' which has been running in the West End since 1952.
The play started life as a short radio play & was originally titled 'Three Blind Mice' based on the real-life case of Dennis O'Neill, a boy who died while in the foster care of a Shropshire farmer and his wife in 1945.
Apparently in the UK, only one production of the play in addition to the West End production can be performed annually also under the contract terms of the play, no film adaptation can be produced until the West End production has been closed for at least six months so it seems there may never be a film version at this rate anyway.
The play was excellent & a real treat as I've been wanting to see it for years + i'm an AG fan.
We even missed tango tonight & made it more of a treat by going out for dinner beforehand.
