Run Away

Part of our new physical fitness routine is to walk more, like we did when we were in the United States, so we headed down to the beach this evening for a stroll on the sand. I saw this bird playing in the waves and took a few photos. All of a sudden he grabbed some kind of crustacean (you can see it in his mouth when viewed large) out of the sand and ran/flew away from the incoming wave. His wings were in different positions in each of the four captures, but this version was the most dramatic.
