Delamere

The Gruffalo Child Trail.

We went to Delamere Forest in August on the trail for the Gruffalo and Dylan has been begging to go back again ever since. It really is a lovely day out. They've changed it a bit for Autumn/Winter so though the trail is the same walk, the signs and activities along the way are new. We had lots of fun building dens, making stick men, making pictures on the floor with 'treasure' we found, collecting sticks, stones, pinecones, leaves, conkers etc. Just made it back to the car before the rain started too. Bingo!

D rode the whole way on his bike again and said his favourite parts were "making a fox and riding down the big hills and going fast". Lily's favourite bit was "playing with baby and Minnie in the den" (baby is permanently attached to her...in case you didn't notice).

A lovely day. Again, I'd like to say it tired them out. 10.30pm and they're still bouncing about in the bedroom! I don't know where they get the energy from!
