Essex Whirlybird

I took the long lens down the field hoping to get bird in flight shots but got a whirlybird in flight instead. I used to love that TV series with the Bells.

This is an MD902 Explorer owned by Essex and Herts Air Ambulance charity. Love the yellow against the gorgeous blue sky. When the weather is too bad for the 'copter to fly the medical team attends emergencies in a four wheel drive Vauxhall Insignia VXR, equipped with much of the same medical equipment as the helicopter.
