Sunrise hawk

Today started with seeing this sunrise hawk on the way to the hospital to see my mom. Which is better than yesterday, which started with hearing some man (presumably a patient) running the halls yelling "tell that pregnant one that I did have a bowel movement!"
Overall, however, it continues to feel like one step forward, two steps back.
