Books galore!!

Today I attended a fun treat sale, a great assembly and helped set up our school book fair.
The treat sale including some awesome cupcakes made to look like the wicked witch of the west's feet were sticking out!

The assembly was a performance by the school's 4th grade. They sung and danced and spoke lyrically about a year after the end of the Wizard of Oz when everyone returns to Oz to learn about conflict resolution as that's what munchkins do best! It was amazing and contained some extremely complex lines and arguments! The girl singing as the Wizard of Oz has the most outstanding voice! The girls who performed as the Wicked Witch's feet were delightful, the flying monkeys hilarious and Toto fascinating!

The school book fair was extremely entertaining! We send the same room as had been filled with parents and students for the assembly. The room was transformed from assembly room with chairs and a stage to a vast array of shelved books on display ready for purchase! It was super fun opening boxes and pulling out exciting books for all ages! Just my sort of fun! I love books!! I just wanted to buy them all!! As it is, I chose three for my daughter and put them aside but think I might get tempted by more....!

I'm so excited to help the kids choose their books over the next few days. And then it will be the Fall festival and Halloween. This week is disappearing!
