Office Refit

The office is going through a refit where the two floors we use went through a major reconstruction.Staff were asked to work from home if they could to make it easier to function over this construction time whilst the changes were happening. The first phase is over and we popped in today to see the results, our desk won't be available to us until mid December .The design firm used still believe in open plan and creating rows of closely aligned desks. There are break out areas of various shapes and heights . Feedback so far is mixed ... Yes nice new furniture and a large kitchen area ... But desk heights can't be changed and the chairs have fixed arms which are too constricting so are being removed.The desks located near the main kitchen have fed back that they are a bit noisy. This blip is a pic of one of the break out 'snugs' near the kitchen ... I thought the small table looked out of place, next to these chunky chairs, A recent TV research documentary here showed people were more productive within offices than open plan structure, so it will be interesting to see how these work out.
