Who are YOU looking at?
A full day at work, and then straight out to friends in the foothills of the Waitakeres for company and a meal. As we arrived a hawk was circling nearby. Flew away before I got the camera out. Still, I went for a walk and was flown over at great speed by four rosellas. Then a pheasant called, and strolled into the long grass, and out of sight.
However, this little Kotare sat on a piece of rusting railway line, which serves as a frame for a grape vine. The image is slightly soft as I took it through the window to avoid scaring the kingfisher away. More glowering in large.
