Ghost of a challenge

Taking up RichardDonkin’s Ghost of a Challenge today. A few years ago I co-authored a ghost walk around South Cave, as part of the annual Arts Festival, and this is the cover of the book (long out of print!) that we produced to go with it.

We found a surprising number of ghosts in the village, including the Roman legion on the road to Brough and the traditional pub ghosts. One of the spookiest experiences while I was writing it was coming home to a dark house one night and finding a message on my answering machine. “My house is full of ghosts…” it said, before lapsing into silence.

I have just backblipped the story of Frog Hall, from the original ghost walk of 2007.
