I was taking pictures with Holly the other day and it was darker in the room. I decided using my front flash on my phone would make it all better. I looked at the picture and noticed the color of her eyes and thought it was very strange. I know people and animals usually get red eyes sometimes when using flash, but I never in my life seen blue eyes due to the flash. I kept wondering why her eyes were so blue. I thought it was so pretty looking, but there had to be a reason behind it all. It took me a few minutes until I remembered that she was starting to develop cataracts in both of her eyes. She is starting to get very old and I have to realize that she is going to be changing. I loved how this picture turned out although it is sad that her cataracts are the reason why. I thought it might have just been the cameras fault. When I tried the picture again with the front flash it did the same thing. I remembered seeing an article about people’s eyes turning blue when the flash of a camera would go off. That’s how I determined that her cataracts were the reason why.
