Le Tourette

A man’s work is never delegated. Early today the Current Mrs Creel announced that she would be catching the ferry to Hoy to visit her mother. Therefore she left me a list:

• Put the washing out (and take in if it rains)
• Get in coal
• Wash the windows (there’s 16 of them!)
• Take all the potted herbs inside the polytunnel to overwinter
• Repair the rear of the polytunnel el
• Phone the library to renew the books
• Fit draught excluder to the porch door (ditto one of the rear windows)
• Put the bin up the road and take it in later
• Check the boiler pressure
• Break up some old pallets and saw up more wood
• Phone Glasgow to find out camera repair
• Make the tea !! (Clapshot, sausages, broccoli and onion gravy)

The one thing not on the list was to go for my first shottie on my new bike. However it seemed mad not too as this will be the best day of the week according to Dave Gray and Sean. Oh, I’ve just realised Blipping wasn’t on the list either; I’d better get a wiggle on.......
