Day Cranes

The title is because last night we heard cranes in the darkness - about 10 p.m or so. We went out on to the terrace and they were perfectly audible but invisible in the night sky. We had a spot of luck when they flew against a very bright cloud and there they were about 400 of them flying at night.

In the wrong direction.

Seriously, they were heading back north.

Maybe they should have flown.

In health news, my doctor's appointment has been cancelled because my doctor is ill. I don't think that's ever happened to me before.
