Hello John, Gotta new Tractor?

Today was going to feature another mushroom shot, however on my way home for lunch I pulled over into a layby to watch a curious spectacle.

I don't know how I thought farmers chose their new tractors and farm machinery; suppose I thought the same way you buy a new car. Look it up on the tractor equivalent of Fifth Gear or the Gadget Show. Or perhaps, took a tootle round the Tractor Garages on a Sunday afternoon?

However, a couple of fields have been transformed into a 'pop-up' showroom for some of these big vehicles and their appendages, and there were rows of cars and vans parked while men in wellies stood around with folded arms, watching displays of ploughing etc.

Bright blue portaloos stood alongside shiny red combine harvesters and balers, and the whole was a lot like a festival of some kind, with stands and stalls.

Wish I'd been able to stop for longer, and I'd have taken photos of some of the other stuff, and gotten up closer. Still, I'm pleased to have spotted it - one of the pleasures of being a country dweller I suppose.
