The Old Flower-Seller jug

This has been in my mother's china collection as long as I can remember. It was displayed in the china cabinet in the 'good room' and I've always loved the colours. It reminds me of the old flower - seller who used to sit outside the City Hall in Belfast selling her flowers. She was a fixture there for many many years.

Three is a companion plate to the jug which hung on the wall in our dining room. My brother and I were distressed to discover a few months ago that it had been knocked off the wall by mum's cleaning lady and broken. I've managed to collect all but a couple of small pieces and hope to get a ceramic repairer who lives locally to try to repair it.
