Glasgow Society of Lady Artists
On a trip to the bank I decided to walk up a different street and so ended up passing this fabulous doorway. Designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, this is the exceptionally stylish doorway of The Glasgow Society of Lady Artists, at 5 Blythswood Square (You may be able to see the name engraved to your left of the door). There's a stack of info here.
I'm gobsmacked that I must have walked past this building many times and not noticed it, but with my camera in my bag and an eye out for a potential Blip subject - it suddenly jumped out at me! That is the way of the Blipper is it not?
I traipsed around town on a colourful tights hunt today, eventually came up trumps in Poundland, so tomorrow I shall be speedily making a spider costume, it has to be ready for tomorrow night - a Halloween party at Brownies for Elise. Amber has decided that she's too old to go out guising now so I only have one costume to make and I've decided she can be my helper - she doesn't know this yet however.
I had the pleasure of Parents' night at Elise's school this evening, a thoroughly glowing report so a treat shall be heading her way :-)
Ciao
