Fire! Finally!

Christmas 2014 my husband and I decided to gift ourselves with converting our fireplace to gas. After several months of research we decided on the brand and model. Then another month to choose our vendor. Then the vendor seemed less than interested in starting our project as he postponed many appointments. I think it was in May that we had the installers here except that, unbelievably, they had ordered - and installed - the wrong model! My husband discovered it when asking one of the installers where the remote was. The vendor folks were reasonable and worked out a deal we could all agree on for taking back the incorrect model and ordering the correct one. Then when the correct model was installed in August it was too small for the space so one of the metal makers had to make a custom piece to fit along the bottom of the insert. Now it's done, it looks great AND it's fireplace season!
