and so the chaos continues...just noted that there's a big festival here 6-8/11 which is a bit of luck, though good or bad who knows...i think that i've been here before for it and it is tempting, although i have no idea how to approach this one...my visa runs out on the 8th which means i'd really have to go to laos for a couple of days and then return here...or hang about and leave on the 7th...uff

and i have a ticket on the bus to chiang khong tomorrow morning...it would be a time consuming detour and probably not great for the budget...but it was a pretty insane festival and i do like chiang mai...there are still corners where the place i remember remains in some ways...but it feels like i need to make a decision...not my strongest skill....
