Nice entry

This photo shows that even homes in a poor high crime area can look nice.
This home is the 80's was a single story home and interest rate were 18%.
San Diego had a special program of low 0-9 percent loans for home repairs in low income areas. This home was remodeled by an out of work carpenter and friends into a 2 story home. In later years more improvement have been done. The most recent is addition is the flowered arch.

In 30 years there have only been 2 major improvements on my block. One done by whites and one done by Asians. I do not count to 2 12 unit apartments that have replaced
single home lots. I have done major improvements in my back yard but after 15-20 years it is time to replace them when there is enough money. The Hispanic across the street have improved their front yard which gives them an improved area where most nights the men sit talk and drink beer. SADDLY the 2 ITALIAN families that did a lot in the neighborhood died off.
