A walk in the woods.

One of those dull days when the leaves stick in the mud and nothing dries. I was reading a blog post about the Norwegian concept of "koselig" which doesn't have a direct English translation but is understood by non-Norwegians as a kind of cosiness. Basically, in Norway (as in Scotland) it's cold and dark for a lot of the winter so they have to find ways to cheer themselves up. Wood fires, candles, hot chocolate and quite large quantities of alcohol are apparently all koselig..
We lit the wood fire before lunch today but that's as koselig as we got. We did go for a nice walk in the woods, though, and I found this beauty hidden in the undergrowth. I've cosied it up with a touch of vignette :-)
