Goodbye, RBS!

I am happy to report that the switch from Royal Bank of Scotland to Santander was extremely smooth and hassle-free, all completed in 8 days, so after 30+ years I bid farewell to the former.

I spent some time this morning shredding all my remaining RBS cheques and cutting up my bank card. Unfortunately Santander doesn't do a left-handed cheque-book, which is a boon to corrie-fisters like myself, but hey, we're used to struggling with all sorts of minor inconveniences, us southpaws. I'll manage.

If anyone out there is thinking about switching banks, just do it - it's a lot easier than you might think. So far so good anyway...
