Turtle Dove

We're in Nice for our anniversary! I met Ann for breakfast as planned and we're together here for the next four days. Unfortunately she's full of a nasty cold! That's what happens when you relax, your immune system takes a mini-break as well... :-(

We still had a good first day, quite relaxing with a couple of naps (her) but also a good long walk down the prom in the sunshine.

I got a new camera lens today, an 18-135mm zoom, and the only photos I've taken today have really been test shots as I put it through its paces – including this shot of a pigeon turtle dove on top of the building opposite. Quite impressed with it so far (the lens, not the bird).
