A Splash of Red

I was on a conference call with work this evening and noticed this Downy woodpecker on the seed block hanging from one of our trees. So, I muted the call, set the phone down, and went out to get a photo. I thought for sure it would fly off as soon as I got close (~10 feet) but it stayed put. I fired off 40 quick shots and got back on the call before anyone noticed.

Again - thanks for the comments over the past couple of days and my apologies for not returning comments. I'm hoping to return to a normal work schedule next week.
