Carousel

Today I visited the Herbstmesse happenings in Petersplatz after a recommendation from a colleague at work. This was more of a food and craft market than a fun fair and it was wonderful. All the rows of stalls led to this lovely carousel in the middle of the square. I bought some Mangebrot - gingery cakey bites of yumminess - and a rosenkiechli - light crispy cake in the shape of a flower.

If this is what Basel puts on for Autumn, I can't wait for the Christmas markets!
