253 [big crane]

This monster must have appeared at some point over the weekend, because when we all came back to work on Monday, it was a big talking point. No one had seen planning permission in the Courier for a Tesco expansion! The info boards inside the shop just seemed to hint at a change to the interior layout with a few shelves moving.

After some investigation (asking someone I knew who works there) I discovered that it's to install the replacement refrigeration units on to the roof. That's one gigantic fridge! Cool! The crane is so big, I couldn't get it into one shot - a whole section of the car park is closed off as the arm stretches out of shot.

Incidentally, why does fridge have a 'd' when refrigerator doesn't??
