Gironde Estuary

Nice morning walk again, down the lane behind our house and past the small escarpment in this picture. Then it gets harder, climbing a steep hunting track through the trees... good cardio-vascular workout and well worth the view from the top.

Today we disturbed two hunters in full camouflage gear, sitting in their hide overlooking the valley, waiting for goodness knows what to come past so they could take a pot-shot. We said "Bonjour" (glad that we were wearing bright colours) and carried on through a vineyard to the road, then downhill back home.

Soon the weather will get too wet and slippery to do that walk, so we have to enjoy it while we can. "Profitez!" - as they say in these parts.
