All Halloweened out!
Emily had been up since 6.15 and was dropped off at ours at 7.30am. We were taking her to a Halloween Party at 4pm.
At 9.15 she asked me if it was nearly time and could she get her Vampire Princess outfit on yet?!! By 11.30
she had had her lunch and played several games and coloured pictures in a colouring book, and asked if it was time to get ready yet!
In order to pass some time we took her out to a play area where we have been several times before, only to find that they had an organised Halloween Party in full swing, double the price to go in, but it included lunch ( but she had just eaten!) all the children there in full fancy dress costumes; face paint etc! Needless to say Emily wasn't dressed up so was a bit reluctant to get involved at first, but soon went off playing. I have to say I have never heard such a racket in all my life.........it was sooo loud!
By the time we left at 2.30 we decided we'd go home and do something a little more quiet ;-) so we opted to watch the film Tangled (Rapunzal to you and I) on TV........by half way through, as you can see, Emily had nodded off on her "grandy" as she calls him :-)
In the end, we actually had to wake her up at 3.45 to get her outfit on otherwise she would have slept through and missed her much awaited Halloween Party!
If I thought the earlier party was loud, boy were we in for shock when we got to the second one just after 4! They had a DJ, the place was heaving, kids and adults dressed up, absolute mayhem :-) by 7pm we were more than ready to leave......Emily believe it or not, then went off with her friends and their mums to go Trick or Treating in their local neighbourhood, leaving us collapsed in a heap in the corner!!!!!
I'm sure it wasn't like this in my day...........:-D
