Shrewsbury Station

It's my birthday, and we are off to Herefordshire for a few days. We stopped in Shrewsbury for a quick mosey around the town.

I do like Shrewsbury. There are so many independent shops, not at all like in my home town. We stopped for a coffee and decided to have a longer visit on our way home on Friday.

All in all it's been a really nice day. My son was home for the weekend (although we saw very little of him - he went to an Oldham game, then on Sunday he was up early to go to Wembley to watch the NFL game) - he went back to Liverpool as we left for our break. He has changed - he's much more chilled now.

My daughter still gets very excited about birthdays, and her enthusiasm is infectious! She helped to make it very special.

And finally, when we arrived in Herefordshire, our accommodation did not disappoint. Clean, comfortable, warm and pretty - just how I like it!
