Today it was confirmed to me by a neighbour from the next door block that we all have to be out of our flats "as soon as possible" and that some of them have had letters to that effect (my colleagues and I haven't had a letter - yet).

I guess the digging right outside the window should have been a clue ; )
(My window isn't visible, it's to the right of the picture and beyond.)

This fine piece of earth-moving equipment is busy scooping out the rubble, and it starts quite early sometimes.
