Starring The Dancing Girls in: The Halloween Ride

It was the Halloween holiday, and so we embarked upon a special adventure. The Dancing Girls mounted up their trusty steeds (most recently seen in a prior Blip) and went on a big Halloween ride.

The ride was swift, as our time was limited, but it ranged far and wide, taking them all around the Arboretum. They traveled over pumpkins of all sizes and colors. They climbed the fence near the Arboretum and checked out the amazing fall colors that continue to linger along the tree line.

They sat at the edge of the famous lily pond that has been shown so many times on these pages. The girls might have climbed into a lily just to sit there and enjoy the colors inside it (which they did the last time they rode through these parts), but it was early in the morning and so the lilies weren't open yet.

We visited the children's garden, Childhood's Gate, where this photo was taken. And this is where the girls stopped for a break: to water their trusty steeds, and to check out the cool wigwams in this part of the gardens.

On this day, there were pumpkins everywhere, even inside the wigwams. And so we sat and took a good long look, thinking it would be a long time till next Halloween. We relished each moment, we had grand adventures, and a great time was had by all!
