Double sculls training.
Glorious morning here today, so convinced that it was still September CP and I decided that a walk was a better bet than shopping, so not forgetting our two dogs we drove to Stratford on Avon and the old railway line now converted to National Cycle Track No 5 and called the Greenway.
It was 10:15 when we set off across the river meadows part of the Recreation Ground and picked up the Greenway after a mile or so, very few people about, sometimes it can be very busy not at all pleasant.
We walked for a few miles passing the racecourse and crossing the River Stour before turning and retracing our steps. On reaching the outskirts of Stratford we decided to go for a coffee and one slice of cake, half each, at the theatre cafe. On leaving we caught the chain ferry which runs from the theatre gardens back to the 'Rec', from where this picture was taken. One of our dogs loves travelling on boats and is really in his element afloat. Then on to home via 'Waitrose'.
