Reiver Country
Reiver country was the lawless borders between Scotland and England where survival depended upon family and tribe loyalties rather than affiliation to the Scottish or English crown. Between the 13th and 17th century frequent and bloody raids took place between farm and farm, family and family, regardless of nationality.
We arrived safely. Allegiances to both sides still in tact.
