Trent and Mersey canal at Great Haywood

An early start as we had to be in Great Haywood for a meeting at 10:00am. Normally we would have gone down the night before but with Clickychick's Mum in hospital we felt it was best to do the trip in a day.

We left home at 6:00am and found the motorway virtually empty. After a quick stop at Charnock Richard we pressed on with the traffic still light. The result of the unexpectedly light traffic was we arrived an hour early which gave us time for a stroll taking a few blips and a coffee in the new Canalside Cafe at the farm shop.

It was just as well as we didn't get chance for any other blipping during the day. Fortunately the meeting finished early and we were on our way home by mid afternoon. Arriving in Penrith in time for CC to go to evening visiting at the hospital

A good day and the winter maintenance and cruising for our share boat is sorted for the next 12 months.
