Charming Soles

My daughter left her high top tennis shoes on the kitchen floor, which is not where she is allowed to leave them. As I made dinner, stepping around them, I noticed how cute they were just sitting there. I also realized that she doesn't untie them to take them off, a trick probably only a kid would know how to do.

I can't believe they make kids shoes with so much embelishment. When I was her age, they only came in white with blue strips or, if you were really lucky, a Nike swish. Now, they are a little piece of artwork for your feet. Such a girlie pair of athletic shoes...they even have little metal charms attached at the top.
