Winter Wood Nymph.
Edinburgh, foot of the Mound.
Nipped up to Princes Street this evening to watch the finale of Samhuinn, the Celtic Fire Festival marking the end of Summer and the start of winter. Organised by the Beltane Fire Society, it's been preformed in Edinburgh every Halloween since 1995 and involves lots of fire, drums, amazing costumes and body paint.
I was sorry I'd missed the procession from the High Street and down Cockburn Street as, being a woman of short limb, I couldn't see very much. Fortunately this wood nymph stopped for a fiver photo.
