November Mayfly

November is the month that the mayflies fly here. This one came inside and settled on a curtain.

Another boisterous nor’wester today. I love the first couple of days of a nor’wester, but after that it gets to be a drag. I went out early and watered the vegetables and outdoor pots, then spent most of the day indoors. Even Her Ladyship stayed inside.

I have just been out to check on the plants in the greenhouse. The wind has blown a big hole in the end. That piece of polythene must not have been UV protected. There’s nothing I can do about it while the gale rages, but close the door on the other end and hope.
