Ladybird

I may have unintentionally killed this bug... It was crawling along my camera bag from I know not where just as I was packing up to go home from work. Conscientiously I got it onto a bit of paper to put it onto a plant in the room. Whereupon the paper caught the edge of the pot and pinged the bug to whereabouts unknown.

Guilt.

Makers of Masterchef - the contestant is a paediatrician, stop referring to him as a "children's doctor" in text and voiceover - you're either insulting the intelligence of your audience, or scared that people might think you mean paedophile. Speaking of which (oh god, where's this going) chatting to Fi our joiner this morning about this very scared-of-the-word matter when did paedophile come to mean someone evil rather than just someone who likes kids? A Francophile isn't trying to get their end away with every single French person or thing he sees, he just likes French stuff. Surely paedophile just means someone who likes (in an entirely innocent way) children? Bloody media stealing our language...
