The new footbridge

Story to follow, Kentchurch Herefordshire. Until a few weeks ago there was a condemned concrete footbridge that had been battered by many years of the force of a swollen Monnow river. This new bridge was paid for by the estate of a local man keen to join a footpath from garway hill to Grosmont. When we were kids every summer holiday was spent crossing the bridge to our favourite swimming spot in the river. Our mums would sit on the bank and prepare the picnic.
