Peace in our time

Every year I buy a poppy for remembrance.
This year however, instead of the usual red specimen, This year however, at June's suggestion, I bought these white ones.
They still honour the lives of the dead military personnel that have lost in many, mostly un-necessary conflicts and wars, but with hope that one day peace will come.
It is a highly unlikely outcome though, as long as greed, intolerance and religious delusion still prevails.
